Our assistants are deeply embedded in your EHR, supporting bi-directional write backs.
When we speak with OR schedulers, transcribing case information is one of the most manual parts of their job. Independent surgeons (or their schedulers) are calling to dictate this information over the phone, or worse yet, faxing the information in. It’s not only tedious for schedulers to manually enter this information into the EHR, but also has potential for transcription errors.
We’re working with our customers to write this information directly into Cerner so that we reduce the manual faxing and calling, and also make the information more accurate. The surgeon or surgeon scheduler can drop the information directly into our HIPAA compliant procedure order form when they place the case request, and we to write that information directly into Cerner as an order that the OR scheduler can triage from their Orders to Scheduling workqueue and add to the Schedule Appointment Book.
